Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect as little as possible. If you fill in our contact form, we receive your name and email address. If you make a donation, your payment is handled entirely by Yoco — we never see your card details. We don't run analytics, and we don't sell data to anyone.

What we collect and why

Contact form: When you send us a message via the contact form, we receive your name, email address, and whatever you wrote. We use this solely to reply to your enquiry.

Donation payments: Payments are processed by Yoco. green° never receives or stores your card number, CVV, or any payment credentials — that all stays with Yoco.

We don't collect any other personal information. There are no accounts to create, no newsletter sign-up (at this stage), and no tracking pixels.

How your information is stored

Contact form submissions are delivered to anne@greendegree.org via formsubmit.co, a third-party form delivery service. We don't run a database — your message arrives in our inbox and that's where it lives.

We keep enquiry emails only as long as is reasonably necessary to handle your request.

Third parties we use

We work with two external services that may process your data:

• formsubmit.co — routes contact form submissions to our email. See their privacy policy.
• Yoco — processes donation payments. See Yoco's privacy policy.

We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking or advertising services.

Cookies

This site doesn't set any cookies of its own. Your browser may set technical cookies as part of normal operation (for example, to handle secure connections), but we don't use cookies for tracking, advertising, or analytics.

Your rights under POPIA

South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) gives you the right to:

• Know what personal information we hold about you
• Request a correction if any information is inaccurate
• Request deletion of your information
• Object to how we process your information

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your data, we'll update this page and revise the "last updated" date at the top.
